This is told by none other than our supreme court. In the processing of a case raised by Swasthya Adhikar Manch, a welfare society, claiming that people are used as specimens like Guinea Pigs for Clinical Trials by MNC’s which in turn lead to death of people, Supreme Court has expressed deep censure on Government for its irresponsibility in taking preventive actions.
Court has ordered that all clinical trials should be under the supervision of Health Department and activities should be taken which will submerse any illegal trials by MNC's. Also added by Justice R.M.Lodha and Justice A.R.Dhave addressing Govt , “It’s the responsibility of you to take care of health of citizens. All the deaths which are occurring due to these trials should be stopped and those experiments should be ceased”.

They also added, it’s a misery that children are used like Guinea Pigs for their trials and it’s high time to eradicate this. General Siddharth Luthra, Additional Solocitor General replied , Govt has setup various committees to address this issue and will report to court as soon as it arrives. The justice committee got annoyed by this and said “ You will again come back to court with report, but cannot give a life to victim who has already lost life, and it has become a ‘Good’ way to divert the attention of people by saying that committees are working on this and will take measure as soon as report arrives. We have given many chances to address and control the issue, but none of the committees have done it since 21 months. When you work without any loopholes then there is no necessity for court to interfere”.The court has ordered Govt last year itself to submit the report but none of the Officials responded to it and justice committee again ordered to submit report within 4 weeks.
