Safer Internet Day (SID) is observed on 5^th February this year to promote safer and more responsible use of online technology and mobile internet, especially amongst children and young people across the world.  Follow these internet security tips to avoid spyware and fortify your computer security right away! • Do not click links in untrusted emails

• Avoid unsolicited/dubious websites

• Only download software from sites you trust

•Carefully evaluate free software and file sharing applications before downloading them

•Enable parental security settings in the browsers to safeguard your kids, know the usage and guide them

•Get regular updates, patches on your OS, browser and applications. Install service-packs promptly & regularly

•Type in trusted URL for a company's site into the address bar of you browser to bypass links in an email or instant message

•Get regular updates for your anti-virus anywhere through internet/ranking code. monitor  updates daily

•Get antispyware software and firewall protection.
